Healthcare for Illegals – Told You So!
Despite the fact that a new poll shows support for President Obama’s healthcare hitting an all time low, a handful of liberal leaders on Capitol Hill are pushing for Illegals to at least receive some healthcare coverage. They argue it’s just unfair to deny them. Unbelievable. California Democrat Representative Michael Honda has been joined by more than 20 of his colleagues laying out their demands which includes the coverage. The Dems say must take a stand now. According to The Washington Times, Mr. Honda and his allies say illegal immigrants should be allowed to pay for insurance if they can afford it, even if it comes through a government-established exchange. Is it harsh for me to say the only thing illegal immigrants are entitled to is an escort back across the boarder and to the country to where they came from until they can come here legally. What’s so wrong with that? If we have laws, shouldn’t it stand to reason that we enforce them? The fact is, we are a compassionate nation and if anyone walks into a hospital we will not turn them away. That’s not who we are. So to say that we won’t cover illegals is just not true. Dare I say, it’s a lie. The fact is the problem of illegals in this country represents the downfall of this Republic and sadly as well it also represents the best hope for the future of the Democrat Party. There in lies the problem. Is there anyone on Capitol Hill with guts to take on this issue without regard to their own political future. Don’t hold your breath.

Even if illegals aren’t allowed to purchase insurance through an exchange, they would STILL receive care. They could easily play the emergency room visit (card) every time they need healthcare. Ultimately that visit is covered by charity care, which is provided to hospitals yearly from the state governments. Ultimately, we would still be paying for them.
The sad thing is, if they rack up a bill, they don’t have an identity to tie a lien against as far as credit is concerned. They could come back as a different name each time.
I don’t know what the solution is, but I do know that allowing them to PURCHASE healthcare through a new system is only throwing salt on a wound that goes very deep.
Illegals are being harbored by business owners. If people in business did not give them jobs what would they do as jobs? Companies save because they do not have to pay fair wages or insurance. Illegals did not just come to America under President Obama and now people act as if he is the one bringing them here. Former President Bush vamped up the guest worker program, giving summer jobs to people from overseas where was the outrage?
President Obama could give a child mouth to mouth and save their life and people wouls still complain. If health care was so bad in the UK or Canada why does the stats show that they live longer?
I was have rather had Hillary be President but we need to rally behind the PRESIDENT because the country was left in such a horrible mess that we are suffering. People complain about everything but the kitchen sink but guess what? President Barack Obama just got in and he is trying to clean up America.
If you did not brush your teeth for eight years and all of a sudden you tried to take care of them, you have problems. Why? they would be rotten, all messed up and you would probably be in pain. That is how America was left under our former President.
People have called in on radio and said I “WORSHIP SATAN” that I should “GO BACK TO WHERE I CAME FROM” called me an “VILLAGE IDIOT” said that “I AM MISGUIDED” and many more things because of my views, but you know what? I still sleep well at night.
I am not lazy and all what I have is due to hard work. In December 2009 I shall earn my fourth degree and am proud of what I have done in my life and will do. I laugh and am only stronger.
I did not vote for Barack Obama but I think the trying times that we are in we should be a little more positive as being negative is like acid to the heart.
